Studio Roux began with a simple observation: people rarely remember every detail of a space, but they almost always remember how it made them feel.

The studio exists to shape those moments.

Drawing on influences from hospitality, architecture, printed matter and the art of hosting, Studio Roux creates environments and experiences designed to bring people together.

Sometimes this takes the form of a set, a gathering or a piece of printed matter. Other times it is a conversation, a concept, or the details that sit quietly in the background, shaping the atmosphere without drawing attention to themselves.

What matters is not simply what is seen, but what is felt, remembered and shared afterwards.

Studio Roux is led by Reinette Roux.

What began with architecture eventually wandered into writing, hospitality and the design of shared experiences. The studio sits somewhere amongst those pursuits, informed by a long-standing fascination with food culture, gathering and the curious ways people behave once they think no one is watching.

When not designing sets, scenes or experiences, she can usually be found hosting dinner parties, collecting cookbooks, or convincing otherwise sensible people that one more bottle is a perfectly reasonable idea.
